The structure was a combination of its nineteen hundred and fourteen original construction and further expansions during nineteen fifty-six. Its location within the downtown eastern section of Dallas sits upon the intersection of three Dallas streets and prior served as both the Dallas Police station and City Jail. It gained notoriety as the scene of Lee Harvey Oswald's publicly televised shooting by Jack Ruby and photographs of the location are offered for public review.
