The structure first served as a commercial warehouse and seemingly the building’s past owners were inspired by Chicago style architecture. The Rock Island Plow Company sold the building in nineteen thirty-seven and it would have a succession of owners and tenant businesses which followed over the years. Amongst nineteen sixty-three the Texas Schoolbook Depository Company used some of its floor to house offices, storage faculties, and process book orders. The County of Dallas later purchased the structure and renamed it the Dallas County Administration Building. Eventually the building was renovated and its upper floors were used to house its latest tenant the Sixth Floor Museum. Official photographs, diagrams, and public files near the scene of John F. Kennedy's assassination are offered for review.
