Records OFFICER J. Woods

JAMES SAUVIE WOODS
James was born amongst the nineteen twenties and raised in the North Dakotan city of Forest River. He enlisted with the US Army during nineteen forty-six and was a Treasury Department employee four years later. Woods began his career with the Agency amid nineteen fifty-two in the role of file clerk and performed foreign intelligence analysis two years later in Korea. The same year he was reassigned to Atsugi airbase in Japan within its unconventional warfare division.

As the nineteen fifties passed James was also stationed in capital of the Philippines to conduct records intelligence analysis. By nineteen sixty-one he resumed operations at Tokyo Station and later that decade was a records administration officer stationed within Saigon as the Vietnam War raged. The nineteen seventies brought Woods assignments in Rome and at CIA headquarters managing operational files regarding Europe until his retirement amid nineteen seventy-eight.
