This location was attributed the birthplace of Dallas to honor its founder John Neely Bryan's arrival in eighteen forty-one and is positioned in the West End of Dallas. Bryan was a constant local force in the founding of the county and establishing the city infrastructure of Dallas. Under the administration US President Franklin Roosevelt significant construction and development of the Plaza occurred that included the Triple Overpass and two Bryan pergolas. Its current incarnation was subsequently dedicated to the memory of influential Dallas civic patron G. B. Dealey and bears his name to this day. This collection is a series of photographs following portions of the presidential motorcade’s path according to official files with additional images to offer greater clarity of the area.
